Frequently asked Questions

MAY I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS DURING THE CEREMONY?

We will have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony, so we kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photographs during this very special moment.


You are most welcome to take photos at any other time throughout the day and share them with us afterwards. We do, however, kindly request that no photographs of us are posted on social media. Feel free to take selfies or capture the décor and share those as you wish.

MAY I POST ANY PHOTOGRAPHS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

We politely ask that no photographs of us be shared on social media. You are, of course, welcome to post selfies or images of the décor.

MAY I BRING MY CHILDREN, A PLUS ONE, OR MY PET?

Your invitation specifies the guests we would be delighted to celebrate with, and we kindly ask that only those named attend.

AM I INVITED TO BOTH THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION?

If you have received an invitation, you are warmly invited to join us for the entire day. Should you only be able to attend part of the celebration, please inform us via the RSVP or by emailing R-D.wedding@hotmail.com.

HOW DO I R.S.V.P.?

Please RSVP using the link on this website under the tab R.S.V.P. If you experience any difficulties or have additional questions, feel free to email us at R-D.wedding@hotmail.com and we will be happy to assist.

WHEN IS THE R.S.V.P. DEADLINE?

We kindly ask that all RSVPs are submitted by Wednesday the 25th of August, so that we may finalise our arrangements with the venue and caterers. Thank you for replying in good time.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Winter semi-formal, with a touch of Burgundy.

WHAT KIND OF SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?

There will not be a significant amount of walking throughout the day; however, as it is autumn and the weather may be cool or rainy, we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes.

WHAT IS THE COLOR SCHEME?

Burgundy

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY?

Please be seated by 11:30 a.m.

WILL THERE BE ANY GAPS BETWEEN EVENTS?

While the day has been carefully planned to flow smoothly, there will be a period of leisure between the cake cutting at 2:00 p.m. and dinner at 5:00 p.m. During this time, photographs may be taken, but guests are welcome to relax, enjoy the surroundings, or explore at their leisure.

WILL ANY PART OF THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE OUTDOORS?

Weather permitting, some photographs may be taken outdoors.

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENING END?

Our celebrations will conclude at 11:00 p.m. so that we may be well-rested for the following day.

MAY I CALL OR TEXT YOU ON THE WEDDING DAY?

We will be unplugged on the day itself so that we may truly savour every moment. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please contact Inge or Alex, who will be very happy to help.

WILL VEGAN, VEGETARIAN, GLUTEN-FREE OR DAIRY-FREE OPTIONS BE AVAILABLE?

Absolutely. We want all our guests to enjoy the day comfortably, so please let us know any dietary requirements as soon as possible via the RSVP or by emailing us at R-D.wedding@hotmail.com.

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Yes, there will be an open bar throughout the evening; however, please note that no alcohol will be served.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE CHURCH, TEWKESBURY ABBEY?

Yes, there is ample parking available, and no fee is required.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE, MANOR BY THE LAKE?

Yes, there is plenty of parking on site. Guests with disabilities or those dropping off luggage may do so at the main entrance before parking in the general car park.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED?

Guests are kindly asked to arrange their own transportation to both the church and the venue, with ample parking available at each location. Should anyone require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be delighted to ensure that everyone can arrive comfortably and on time.

WHEN MAY I BRING MY LUGGAGE TO MY ROOM IF I AM STAYING AT MANOR BY THE LAKE?

You will have plenty of time to take your luggage to your room either immediately after the ceremony or following the cake cutting. We simply ask that you check with us beforehand in case we would like to take photographs with you.

MAY I SEND REGISTRY GIFTS TO YOUR HOME?

Your presence is truly the greatest gift we could ask for, and we do not expect anything more.


If you do wish to send us something from the registry, you are most welcome to have it delivered to our home just let us know when it is on its way so that someone is available to receive it. You are also welcome to bring a gift to the venue if you prefer, though please do not feel obliged.
